Message Doing the swap now, and it's quite a chore. Due to the steering rack being placed behind the front subframe as well as the rack mounted higher than the subframe, there are MAJOR clearance issues with the LS1/T56.

If I'm not mistaken, the owner of this car as well as the small amount of others who have done this swap have all cut up their firewalls to allow the LS1/T56 to fit. (someone chime in if I'm wrong on this particular car). The amount of firewall material needed to be removed is substantial, essentially eliminating all dash functionality....radio, heat/AC, etc.

With that being said, be on the lookout for a bolt-in kit for this swap to be on the market soon. Once this kit is released, I'm sure there will be alot more people willing to do the swap, since they wont need to cut their cars up. :)
